How to Make Money on the Web through Affiliate Programs
Anyone who has done any research on online marketing knows there are plenty of scams. Unfortunately, marketers with no morals take advantage of the abundance of people looking for the means to quit their jobs by making money on the Internet. It’s sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to pursue schemes that never yield anything. Fortunately, there are ways you can make money on the Web with no up-front investment. This should be good news to those who have had run-ins with Internet scheme run by rip-off artists!
But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. An example of this is the controversy over an web business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that one or more people have written a Site Build It review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.
One of the main ways I like to make money online is above-board and also fairly simple to implement. I make money from writing on HubPages. HubPages — a community blogging site — makes it easy to generate content-based ad revenue. How many content “hubs” (pages) you create is up to you. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: Google AdSense, Kontera in-text ads, Amazon products, eBay auction items and any affiliate marketing program you want to implement. Sixty percent of the impressions (page views) that generate income go to you and HubPages gets the other 40%. The exception to that would be if you implemented an affiliate program; One hundred percent of income generated by clicks from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. It takes a while to get good at writing solid hubs but in my opinion, the money you can earn over time makes it worth the effort.
There are many affiliate marketing programs out there but I like to use RevResponse on my hubs, because it provides credible free information for people. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse magazines or white papers, you benefit financially. It’s that simple. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more, check out this RevResponse affiliate review. It will help you decide whether signing up is worth your time.
